I live in San Francisco and take lots of "portraits" of fallen, decaying leaves that I find mostly on asphalt or concrete. A few have drifted onto fences, some onto cars, and many have found their way to the gutters. I am in love with them, because even within this gritty urban environment, they retain and spread their beauty.
